I just got a few images of Ernesto Maranje’s newest mural in Miami, Florida painted for PangeaSeed Foundation’s Sea Walls and the Miami startup Saltmates who recently launched an app focused on connecting nearby ocean lovers, but also helping ocean conservation by committing a percentage of their profits towards donations and organizing cleanups, fundraisers, and anything that can help raise awareness of issues affecting our Oceans and Beaches.
The project features four local artists: Tatiana Suarez, Evoca1, Nicole Salgar and Ernesto Maranje who created a seres of large-scale murals in Wynwood designed to bring awareness to Climate Change and rising sea levels.
We know Ernesto Maranje’s work from his two amazing large-scale murals for the ArtUnitedUs project in Kiev (here and here). This time in Miami, Florida, Maranje brings once again to life his colourful animal imagery with some of his favourite creatures, birds and of course the exuberance and incredible beauty of sea life.

About Sea Walls
Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans is PangeaSeed’s groundbreaking public art project that brings the oceans into the streets around the world.
During the last time they have been collaborating with some of today’s most renowned contemporary artists to create large-scale public murals that address pressing environmental issues the oceans are facing by forging a synthesis between public art, nature, and society.
The aim of the festival is to engage with the local community to foster a sense of pride and ownership for the murals, and above all, for the health of their local marine ecosystems. Read more on:
