Here are a few images of Mr Fijodor’s latest works painted during the course of last months in Italy.
Mr Fijodor’s style is more like an illustrator of a children’s fantastic tale than what we usually expect from a so-called street artist. His creative career started already as a kid building monsters with LEGO and drawing on his bedroom walls.
His work consists of simple drawings of fantastic creatures that usually convey an easily accessible message based on a simple interpretative key in order to communicate with the observer.
One of his most recent walls is this one painted for this year’s RestART Festival in Imola, Italy, featuring his characteristic illustrative style (See image above).
He also had the opportunity to collaborate with another Italian artist, Seacreative during this year’s WalkThe Line festival in Genova, Italy. The result is a beautiful predominantely black and white mural that shares the nostalgia of a seaman for the sea.
He also did this awesome wall featuring a sea dragon painted at a graffiti jam in Imperia in Ligurian coast of Italy.
But not everything is black and white in Mr Fijodor’s magic universe, something this last piece painted for “Poste Italiane”, the Italian National postal service, proves.
And of course I couldn’t forget his love for abandoned spaces which in the hands of Mr Fijidor, become populated by magic creatures that intimately interact with their surroundings.
