This Friday, September 10th opens “AMALGAM”, an intimate exhibition based of new works by long time collaborators and members of the French art collective and graffiti crew Da Mental Vaporz, BLO and JAW.
Leaving figuration, BLO and JAW throw themselves for full into the real of abstraction. The new body of work represents a joint approach to painting that establishes a new visual dialogue, fusing two distinctive voices into one. The exhibition seeks to highlight the pictorial amalgamation that occurs when favouring improvisation and intuition in the process of painting. Each canvas becomes a field for experimentation that gives shape to a fluid and expressive compositions.
In addition to the work featured in “AMALGAM”, The Art Union will also release an exclusive edition of silk screen prints by the artist duo specially created for the event..
The opening reception will take place in presence of the artists on Friday, September 16th, from 18 – 22 h at ‘Sound of Snow ‘ in Dieffenbachstraße 37, Berlin-Kreuzberg. The exhibition is on view through October 1st, 2016.
