Guido Van Helten transform grain silos into giant mural

Brisbane-based artist Guido van Helten spent three weeks, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, working on this new mural in Brim, a small town with a population of about 100, in north-western Victoria, Australia.
Made possible thanks to the support from Regional Arts Victoria, the Yarriambiack Shire Council, Brim Active Community Group and LoopColors Australia, the new mural has transformed this little town into an artistic turist attraction with its four black and white figures painted onto the 30m silos.
Each portrait is based on people from the area, but their identity has been kept a secret because, and according to van Helten “If you leave the anonymity to these people and people see whoever they want to see, they can have their own connection to the work.” (source: ABC News Australia).
