Russian artist Morik finished a couple of days ago this amazing piece for Urban Forms in Lodz, Poland.
Owner of a very personal style Morik’s canvases and walls show a unique approach to paint where figuration and surrealism meet abstraction giving shape to provocative deconstructed images. Morik describes his evolution as follows:
“I started as graffiti writer who was between wild style and the third dimensional style. Furthermore I combined stylewriting with photorealism and half-realistic weird characters. Now I’m getting to the mixture of everything I’ve ever did: mixture of photorealistic elements, typographics in which my graffiti experience is moving me to. Furthermore, I put a lot of detailed effects and abstract forms, as you can see in my last drawings. As for the ideas, I’m more about expressive drawing, forms, colors, graphic design than about stories and messages. Sometimes, of course, there is always an exception.”
