Last Thursday opened Razón Común a collective exhibition at Niu art Space featuring a new body of work created by four young Spanish artists, Spogo, Once, Kwets and Sener.
The work exhibited is abstract and brings together two different worlds, the world of Urban and Contemporary art. The result is an interesting mix that highlights different references to graffiti, graphic design and modern art, all important staring-points for these four artists.

Urban art is fed directly from other elements such as design, graffiti and other art movements to make new ways of expression better suited to the needs of the artist.
The incorporation of these new ways of expression create new scenarios where the unclassifiable develops best where the rules of graphic design intersect with illegal graffiti or where op art becomes an element within an urban mural.
This fusion of elements has urban art and graffiti as a catalyst, which unifies all these simultaneous streams and provides common reason.
It is this common reason that unites us as a group, identifying the four with graffiti as a meeting place to channel our individual realities in the same direction.
Razón Común aims to show search of new roads within the urban art with four artists that despite having similar references come to very different paths to the same point.
