The magic about this new piece by Sbagliato is that it appears completely alien to it’s surroundings, the pristine walls of the Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto, Italy.
Everything about this installation talks about decay and the passage of time, the camper and its broken windows, the tags, the ‘overgrown’ vegetation and even the humidity of the adjacent walls. The contrast between the piece and the institutional walls in which it has been placed, frozen in time and space, alien, but at the same time part of it, is striking.
